These seminars can be tailored to a client’s exact requirements and are aimed at either reducing stock loss through shoplifting or employee theft or where a Franchise has personnel unattended in their client’s home and wants to ensure their integrity with the client.
A recent example was of a Franchise that offered a pet feeding service to clients during the Christmas holiday period. We provided a seminar for their management and franchise operators to ensure that the operator’s personal safety and that of their clients was not compromised.
In the Retail Sector we offer a Security Plan which would include but not be restricted to:
- Profit & Loss Management, Physical Security, Alarm Surveillance, Mystery Shoppers, Cheque Book and Credit Card Fraud, Shoplifting, Staff Shrinkage, Stock Control, Price Switching, Cash Security and Cash Register Controls, Rubbish Controls and Staff Training
- The sound screening of prospective employees
- House rules and the consequences for breaking them
- Staff training & Store Layout
Distribution Centres are ideal opportunities for employee theft. In these circumstances we would produce an Operational Plan, which would have four (4) main phases:
- Objective assessment of the problem. Information gathering
- Surveillance & Association
- Termination
- Security Survey
Such a plan must be able to be tested in other depots or company sites. The writing of a Standard Security Operating Procedures manual would be a key element in this plan.
Clearly defined security responsibilities, staff vetting, the on-going testing of procedures and security and bi weekly and or monthly review meetings with our client are other key requirements of such a plan.
